Register Early

Although you may join our class at any time, please register early since class sizes are limited and many fill quickly.  Registering at least three weeks before the new semester ensures that we will have your childs materials for you at the first class.  If you enroll after the semester begins, tuition can be pro-rated accordingly. Please understand that you will not receive  materials the  first day of class.

          Payment Options

We are pleased to offer you flexibility in the manner  with which you pay which is why we offer the option of paying with credit card at our website. Please note when paying by credit card you will be charged a $10 processing fee which will be charged to you as a separate payment. The same applies to refunds via credit card. You will be refunded  x amount minus the processing fee. If you wish to pay by check or direct deposit;

    Please make payment to:
    Annette Simmons
    275 Carlton Terrace
    Teaneck NJ 07666

 Enrollment Confirmation

A registration form and payment must be received before enrollment can be confirmed. You will receive a phone call, E-mail, or mailed notice within two weeks to confirm your registration.

 Refunds

Tuition refunds or credit vouchers may be given if there are extenuating circumstances requiring withdrawal from class.  Each request will be considered on an individual basis at the discretion of the educator.

The cost of materials plus a $15 processing fee are Non-Refundable.

There is a $100 Cancellation Fee.

 Make-up Classes

Classes will be made up in the event of teacher illness or inclement weather.  You will be notified of the cancellation and the scheduled make-up day.  Likewise we ask that you respect the sanitary environment that we strive to provide, and ask you to stay at home should you or your child be ill.  We want to share music, not germs. You may attend another class if it is being offered, provided there is space.

 Non-enrolled Siblings

Due to limited class size and the delicacy of the younger class settings, we cannot accommodate non-enrolled siblings. Emergency exceptions are considered.

Note:  During our summer camps we encourage an older sibling (high-school and older) to attend with the child in lieu of a caretaker if the parent is not available. The class provides a unique opportunity for bonding between siblings.

 Making the most of class

Plan to arrive about 5-10 minutes early.  This provides time for you and your child to settle in to the musical environment.

We do request that toys, snacks and drinks be kept out of sight. (There is a waiting area/restroom where you can attend to your childs needs.) Be sure to dress comfortably.

We ask that all who attend (parent and child) take off their shoes before class.  Not only do we wish to maintain our clean floors/carpet;  we receive the added benefit of experiencing/learning through the touch of our feet.

During class, the most important thing you can do for your child is to be an active and patient role model.  It is not uncommon for a child to attend several classes before feeling comfortable.  Dont be discouraged- what a child is absorbing in class is often evidenced in the comfort of the home environment rather than a certain level of participation in class. The understanding and consistency of the adult in class and at home are key to facilitating musical learning and growth.

You and your child will benefit from the Kindermusik experience, especially if you make active use of your At Home Materials.  Frequent reinforcement at home makes all the difference in the childs comfort and participation in the classroom

Summer Camp Policies (In addition to our regular Fall/Spring policies)

We are providing specialized policies for summertime due to a different learning environment.

Advance Deposits/Reservations:

Due to the complex nature of camps needs we provide additional materials aside from the Fall/Spring musical supplies. For this reason, and to ensure that your child(ren) will have all materials
necessary for a successful experience, we ask that a $50.00 deposit be remitted prior to June 20th. Those who do NOT wish to pay a deposit; i..e. FREE previews, pay in full first day of class, mid semester enrollments, etc) understand that materials may NOT be available at the first class
Please reserve via phone or e-mail regardless of your payment plan. You may reserve as late as the day of (provided there is space).

Make-Up Classes:

Summer's schedule enables you to sample any of our classes providing they are age appropriate and there is space. Call or e-mail to enquire which class is available.

Cancellation of Classes:

Kindermusik with Ms. "K" reserves the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment with a full refund to you. We DO NOT begin a class unless there is a minimum of 4 children in each class. This is to ensure the social aspect of your child's involvement.  Should a cancellation occur, we will offer you every other possibility (another class, payment towards a future semester etc) to attend.

Siblings/other Children/Friends:
We welcome your friends and family, provided there is enough space and they are able to interact/sleep during class. Please note: These children are your responsibility.  We may ask you to pay a nominal fee of $5 to cover the cost of snacks/crafts. We MUST be informed of these visitors prior to class via e-mail or phone.

Adult Presence/Supervision:
In summer months we encourage older siblings to participate in lieu of a parent as it provides special bonding and gives parents a much needed break. We welcome all responsible young adults over the age of 16 to attend. Of course nanny, babysitter, daddy etc are always welcome!

Extreme Heat/Rain:
Alternative activities/location will be provided in the event of uncomfortable conditions.

Class Time/Length:
Classes are appx 45min to an hour long (depending on the day's activities).  Our class is filled with activities and will therefore begin and end on time.  Please feel free to come anytime-just join in.

Parking/Entrances
Ample parking can be found on both sides of the street. Entrance is through the right side of the house into the backyard.
